The art curriculum, based on the TEKS, consists of all levels PK through 8th grade, to include Elementary Art, Middle School Art, Art History, HS Art I, and HS Ceramics I. Each course focuses on the fundamentals of Art, including all elements, with mixed media and mediums introduced throughout the courses.  All students are exposed to Art in their regular school weeks, with middle school students having some choice for electives.



    Music instruction, based on the TEKS, is provided to all students in grades PK through 8th grade.  Students are exposed to music theory, composition, rhythms, reading music, and performing throughout their years at Crenshaw.  Show Choir is open to all students in grades 5-8.



    Theater Arts is a TEKS-based elective offered to all middle school students. Students learn the art of speech and performance, as well as the technical aspects of Theater, such as prop and set design, lighting and sound equipment.
