    All Galveston ISD campuses and facilities will be closed to campus-based learning and all extracurricular activities and school events are canceled during this period. Online learning and curbside meal service will continue.

  •   Curbside Meals

    The Curbside Meals Program will be serving breakfast and lunch for the five-day school week to any child, 1 to 18, who is present in a vehicle, regardless if they attend a GISD school. Drive up to the front entrance to receive meals. Click the link below for more information.

    Child Nutrition

    Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time food benefit for families who lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to school closures. Eligible P-EBT families will receive application instructions from schools in late May. The P-EBT application will open the first week of June. P-EBT food benefits are for children who received SNAP food benefits for March 2020 and children who are certified for free or reduced-price school meals during the 2019–20 Texas school year.     Bolivar Peninsula - Amid the COVID 19 emergency, Southern Broadband (SBB) an RTA company is providing several FREE DRIVE-UP WIFI hotspots across the Crystal Beach community. These drive-up hotspots enable you to stay connected with family, schools, healthcare providers, work, and the latest information while maintaining social distancing practices at the same time.


    Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free – including non-Xfinity internet subscribers.     Galveston ISD is committed to providing students with many opportunities to continue to thrive as learners while they are at home. Our teachers have been working diligently to ensure the continuity of learning experiences by developing lessons and activities that align with the work students have been doing. The campuses are sharing this information through a number of media sources such as Remind, Facebook, Twitter, their campus websites.

    Teachers will continue to communicate with students and their families with specific information regarding their class and required learning for students.
