    Three Ball High Alumni Become DocTORS at UTMB Graduation

    June 15, 2021 - Alex Brown, Rocky Jain, and Bobby McQuitty were walking the halls of Ball High not too long ago and now each one will be making rounds as residents at major medical facilities after graduating with a doctorate from University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine (UTMB) in Galveston in June.

    Teaching History while Making History

    June 14, 2021 - Students studying history at Ball High School will now be studying Ball High School in history, among other things. It’s all part of a new course created and taught by William Schuster. The History of Galveston is now an official course selection that will spend an entire semester focusing on the island and its amazing past.

    May 17, 2021 - Galveston ISD is proud to announce April’s E3 Employee of the Month, Wes Holland. Although he says he would like to refer to himself as “Master of the Universe”, Holland’s official job title is Texas ACE Site Coordinator at Oppe Elementary School.

    The Mechanics: Ball High Grads Roy & Raul Beltran

    May 11, 2021 - In 2013, the Beltran family moved to Galveston from California. Roy was a sophomore at Ball High School and his younger brother Raul would become a freshman the next year. Now the brothers are gainfully employed as mechanics with Galveston ISD and they owe their success directly to the experience they had in the same school district they now work for.
